Attorney Profile
Attorney Kristin L. Yokomoto is dedicated to helping people with their Estate Planning and Business Planning needs and opportunities. She works with clients and their financial team to plan and protect their estates for their loved ones. She also guides clients through the start-up, funding, growth, and sale of their businesses.
Prior to opening her business, Kristin practiced law in San Diego working for a law firm which represented major financial institutions and business owners. She also worked in the San Francisco and Los Angeles offices of a recognized law firm helping entrepreneurs to form businesses, raise and borrow money, and buy and sell businesses. Kristin then practiced law in Irvine advising business owners engaged in residential and commercial real estate based lending to raise private funds within the confines of the California corporate laws and the California and Federal securities laws. Prior to law school, she worked as a financial analyst for a Fortune 500 company.
Kristin earned her law degree from the University of Arizona in 1994 where she was a member of the Arizona Law Review, and her Master of Laws in Taxation from the University of San Diego in 2000. Kristin also earned her Master of Business Administration from the University of Arizona, and her Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of California Santa Barbara. Kristin is currently completing another Master of Laws in Taxation at Chapman University School of Law.
Kristin enjoys writing and has been published by The CPA Journal, a publication of the New York State Society of Accountants, which is recognized as an outstanding, technical-referenced publication. She is a member of the Estate and Trust and Business Law Sections of the American Bar Association, California State Bar, and Orange County Bar Association. Kristin is also a member of Wealth Counsel, LLC, a national organization of attorneys dedicated to the practice of estates and trusts. Kristin enjoys doing yoga and running, and spending time with her nephews and niece. She also gives back by providing her time and energy to working with the community.
